Questions on Teens and Dating

Q: Regarding your recent column on teen dating: You report that teens who are less popular and have more problems than average, such as depression, aggression or victimization through bullying, tend to improve on these measures when they choose boyfriends or girlfriends who are healthier and more popular than themselves. What happens to teens who are already doing well, but who choose partners who are less healthy emotionally and socially?
