Dating service poll: single voters willing to date outside own politics

As polarized as voters seem to be during the presidential election of 2008, in the dating world politics are not at the top of the priority list for choosing a mate.
In a poll of 360 active unmarried daters, only 7 percent of all men and women polled strongly preferred dates who vote the same way. Just 10 percent of McCain supporters and 4 percent of Obama supporters care strongly if their dates support the same candidate for president in the 2008 election. The poll was conducted Oct. 14-18 among members of LunchDates, the longest operating lunch dating service in the U.S.
